We dare to share!
LTR are pleased to represent the UK and Ireland in the Global Black Book, an innovative aid to Luxury Travel Worldwide. We often find ourselves personifying their motto of ‘we dare to share’.
Take the recent communication with Dan in the USA who found our website while researching a place to stay in Speyside and made use of our contact form:
Select which property you are enquiring about: Gordon Castle, Morayshire
Requirements if known: My wife and I are planning a trip to the Speyside area, arriving on May 9, 2012 and departing on May 14, 2012 – and would like to stay in a castle in the Speyside area. Could you please advise rates and alternatives? Thanks.
And we did. We shared … (edited to protect the identity of properties we do not represent)
The properties represented in our Portfolio are generally available for exclusive hire; that is, they do not operate as hotels, but rather as private residences. Gordon Castle is one such property, and if you wish to stay there it will cost you £2,000 a night, with all meals and drink included in the price. Another option is to hire a self-catered castle such as http://www.xxx.co.uk/ right in the heart of Speyside. You can hire it for as little as £300 a day, and we could arrange for housekeeping and catering service as you would wish.
There is a castle hotel near Inverness http://www.yyy.com/ where you can stay at a cost of £250 per night, with breakfast included. It is not far from Speyside (Grantown on Spey is 30 miles away). Or you could stay at a hotel such as http://www.zzz.com/ that is not a castle, but ‘castle-ish’ and right on the Whisky Trail. A Junior Suite will cost £175 per night with breakfast included. These are some ideas for you. Please get back to us.
And Dan did get back to us …
Thanks, I think we will be checking out Castle yyy further. I appreciate the information that you have provided.
Some people prefer to ‘do it themselves’, and that includes asking anyone who they think might be able to help. We will always try to help. We dare to share. Check out the Global Black Book, and travel well!
