On the road again …

Inverlochy Castle, Barbara and Terri’s Highland retreat

We often meet our clients when they come to visit.  It is always interesting to put a face to the voice.  Last week, as luck would have it, my band was gigging in Edinburgh on the day that Barbara and Terri were flying in from New York City.  Having spent weeks organising their itinerary through the Scottish Highlands and onto the Isle of Skye, with boat trips on Loch Ness and the Sound of Sleat, guided tours with men and women of charm and character, hotels and restaurants of quality, it seemed as though we already knew each other when we came face to face in Maggie’s Chamber above the Three Sisters Pub in the Canongate.  I told Barbara not to come if she were too tired from the transatlantic flight from New York to London, and then the further journey from London to Edinburgh, but wild horses wouldn’t have kept her away!  The ladies came in a bit jaded, but left inspired.  A wonderful way to start their Scottish adventure.
