Nestled at the top of Loch Ness is the fairytale and very magical Aldourie Castle set in its own 500 acre estate and yet again the lure of the water attracted the journalists. While some were being spun around the loch on a high speed trip to Urquhart Castle the others were swimming with Nessie!
We enjoyed a gastronomically delicious dinner created at the hands of chef Richard Turner, followed by a spell binding display of scottish country dancing, piping and spontaneous guitar playing with our guests which lasted long into the night and after yet more drams and some hilarious snooker it was a chance for a last swim in Loch Ness and then to bed!
The following day we explored and enjoyed the lovely gardens and policies at Aldourie and shot clay pigeons on the hills above the Castle and then after a home grown and organic lunch, it was off on the short journey to Corrour Lodge……..
