The Howard is known as a luxury five star hotel in Edinburgh's city centre. We use it as an exclusive private residence for our cultural tours, family reunions and other special occasions.
The Howard, as we see it today, comprises 3 terraced Townhouses built in the 1820s. Originally built as family homes for wealthy burghers of the city, it has been a hotel since the Second World War, following the original conversion from private houses, linking them at 4 levels by corridors. Three Suites have access to gardens, while sumptuous rooms on the top floors offer splendid views over the city.
Situated in the heart of the affluent New Town, all of Edinburgh's cultural diversity is on your doorstep. The shops, the bars and restaurants, the museums, the parks, the Castle, Royal Mile, Palace ... the list of things to see and places to go would fill pages of a book.
