The Chateau de Launay is an historic 15th and 18th century castle, which has been thoroughly restored. The Chateau is surrounded by a moat and the grounds also include well-manicured avenues, paths bordered by Linden trees and an orchard. There is a half acre pond and a T-shaped heated swimming pool 13.5 meters by 5.10 meters.
The Chateau is in excellent condition and is decorated with a combination of contemporary and period style furnishings. There are eight bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom. The ground floor consists of a living room, formal dining room, breakfast room, library, office in the tower, kitchen and hallway surrounding an enclosed courtyard.
The kitchen is very modern and fully equipped. Between the kitchen and the terrace wing is an informal dining-breakfast room with a stone fireplace that is ideal as a central meeting point, with a view of the pool. The spacious living room has a television, VCR and hi-fi. There is a formal dining room and a more relaxed breakfast room, both with beautiful fireplaces. Meals can also be taken on the terrace.
