This Georgian Gem is a late 18th century country house bordering the Firth of Clyde set in a 400 acre estate. The House has a fantastic collection of portraits & furniture and exudes old world charm. One wing of the house is an antique shop and the upper floors boasts wonderfully comfortable bedrooms done up to suit the period of the home. This house is wonderful for cultutal tours as the owner is an expert on furniture and a renowned lecturer. The dining room is large and elegant, as is the drawing room and there is a separate green room for lectures.
The estate is very close to Glasgow and overlooks the sea. The surrounding area is a little built up but the house is in a little cocoon and guests are totally unaware of the surrounding towns & villages. This home is much enjoyed by guests who appreciate wonderful Georgian architecture and a house filled with treasures. A personal favourite of the team at LTR and one we most highly recommend to guests visiting this part of Scotland.
