Ballindallocah Castle - famous ancestral home

  • Sleeps 14
  • 2 double bedrooms, 5 twin rooms, All ensuite
  • Superb salmon fishing on private beats of River Spey and stunning high pheasant shoot
  • Private Golf Course

The Castle, is first and foremost, the much loved family home of the Macpherson-Grants. It is one of the very few privately owned Castles to be lived in continuously by its original family.  Staying here could not be further from your standard "rent-a-castle" and is truly a rare privilege. The castle exemplifies the transition from the stark tower house necessary in 16th century Scotland to the elegant and comfortable country house so loved of the Victorians in the Highlands.

This is one of the most beautiful and renowned castles in Scotland. Known as the Pearl of the North, it is located in the heart of Speyside, near to the famed whisky distilleries of Glenfiddich, Glenfarclas and Glenlivet. Surrounded by majestic hills, and with the tumbling waters of the Rivers Spey and Avon flowing through the grounds, the setting is truly magnificent. The Macpherson-Grants have resided here since 1546.
