Scotland is an ancient nation with its own proud and independent history, yet she remains an integral part of Great Britain. The Scottish legal and education systems, the church and professional bodies all have their own separate structures, whilst Scottish Banks still proudly issue their own currency notes. The strong and independent nature of the Scots has kept their heritage and cultural traditions very much alive. The three languages, Scots, English and Gaelic are all spoken and used in colourful prose, poetry and music throughout the many varied parts of Scotland from the banks of the Wash right up through Edinburgh, Glasgow and Inverness onto the Hebrides and the Outer Isles to the tip of Shetland. Scotland's distinctive heritage can be experienced by guests in many ways - in the music, dance, literature and theatre. It shows in the history, in the castles and monuments, the clan traditions and in the tartans that have now become so much an emblem of Scotland. As such Scotland has become a popular destination for luxury holidays, tours and bespoke vacations.

LTR is based in Scotland and this is our home. We have developed a great affection for the different areas of the country and all that Scotland has to offer, whether it's staying in a luxury exclusive use castle, a 5 star deluxe country house hotel or a small tower house tucked away in the hills, Scotland is a wonderful place to spend a couple of weeks. There is so much to explore and whatever your interests, whether it be history, golf, country sports, distilleries, gardens, painting, seascapes or if you just have the urge to get away, at LTR we will arrange a very diverse and original schedule and suggest any number of fun and unusual activities which can be enjoyed as a group or   individually.
