Culture & Festivals
The great houses of England, Scotland and Ireland are a cultural treasure trove of important art, priceless furniture and many other wonderful possessions and artefacts collected by their owners from around the globe. With this historical backdrop to our business, we naturally focus a lot on the culture of these countries.
LTR arranges a number of bespoke cultural tours, often for US museum and alumni groups which concentrate on their different areas of interest. Through our owners and other relevant experts, we can access a rich stream of cultural knowledge and expertise. Our cultural tours are usually based in one or more of these important houses or castles and LTR will then create a bespoke tour which leaves those attending culturally enriched.
England and Scotland are also home to a whole series of cultural festivals, the biggest of which is the Edinburgh Festival in August which runs for three weeks and involves entertainment of all types. There are hundreds of different concerts, plays and art exhibitions. The Edinburgh ‘fringe’ is a further plethora of even more diverse entertainment and acts of all descriptions.
On a smaller scale, there has been over the last few years an explosion of book, music, food and other festivals which run throughout the year and which cater to a wide range of different interests. LTR can recommend as part of your vacation, which relevant festival might be of interest and can arrange for guests to attend these throughout the UK and Europe.
By taking advantage of these events it can be a great way to experience a lot more cultural content which might otherwise have been missed and LTR is on hand to assist.
