Sightseeing

There are some wonderful opportunities to visit many beautiful and historic places whilst on holiday in the UK or Ireland.  

Your LTR travel consultant will be able to give you specialist advice on the sightseeing possibilities depending on exactly where you are staying in Scotland, England or Ireland.

Helicopter - we can arrange a bespoke sightseeing tour for you and your group.   A spectacular way of doing this can be from the air in a helicopter.   Day trips can be arranged including a stop off for lunch and maybe a visit to a castle or garden.   It is great fun to explore the west coast of Scotland with all its different islands and to view miles of perfect beaches from the air.

Ancestral and Stately Homes - Scotland, England and Ireland have a huge number of palaces, castles and country manor houses which are open to the public and many fascinating ones which are not.  LTR will arrange after hours access to those that are open and private access to those that are not.  This will be combined with advice on what to see and experienced guides to escort you around.  Homes that are very popular with our guests include Glamis Castle, Mount Stuart, Culzean Castle, Scone Palace and Traquair in Scotland; Beaulieu, Harewood House, Blenheim Palace and Stratfield Saye in England and Kilkenny Castle and Powerscourt Estate and Gardens in Ireland.

Whisky Distilleries - throughout Scotland, but particularly in Speyside, you will discover distilleries that are happy to receive guests and explain the process of how they produce their special blend of 'Scottish water'.  However, some distilleries are a lot more interesting than others and some allow visitors to bottle their own blends, have personalised labels and much more - LTR will recommend their guests on which distilleries are the best to visit.

Gardens - There are some spectacular gardens to visit all over the UK and Ireland.   LTR can arrange special garden tours to be the focus of your vacation or alternatively arrange a visit to a particular garden as part of your holiday.
